THE NUMBERS
The beauty of the Sea must be protected: it is a precious element that occupies 70% of our planet, playing a fundamental role in the survival of living beings.

The Mediterranean Sea, like all marine waters in the world, is increasingly invaded by plastic. Every year, approximately 229,000 tons of plastic waste are dumped, the equivalent of over 500 containers per day. According to a report published in 2020 by the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (lucn), Italy alone disperses 34,000 tons/year.

Making our supply chain and our habits as sustainable as possible.

THE FABRICS
As part of our strategy to reduce our environmental impact, we have committed to using more sustainable fabric bases.

RECYCLED POLYESTER
We use Recycled Polyester to make our swimwear. This material is obtained by melting existing plastic and trimming it into a new polyester fibre, while guaranteeing high quality standards in terms of comfort and durability, thus renewing our commitment to sustainability and respect for the environment. Furthermore, according to a study by WRAP (Waste & Resources Action Programme), its production requires 59% less energy than virgin polyester and reduces CO2 emissions by 32%.

LINEN
Linen has long been part of our collection, a biodegradable and naturally sustainable fiber. Every part of its plant is used and is recyclable. It also does not need intensive irrigation since the water requirement in flax cultivation is met by rainwater that naturally falls in the plant’s cultivation areas.

PACKAGING
The packaging is made of natural cotton using methods and products that have a low impact on the environment. Furthermore, they are designed to be reusable; they can be used several times for the same purpose for which they were originally designed or for a different purpose, giving them a second life.
